Don't Leave Home Without These!

I love to travel!

When I was fresh out of college, I took my first six week tour of Europe and was hooked. So every three years (for about 15 years) I traveled overseas to visit friends and coworkers. This was before the Internet… before cell phones… using a travel agent… paper airline and train tickets… before the conveniences we now have to book a trip. I traveled by myself and once I got in-country, I stayed with my friends, co-workers or in youth hostels. One of the best parts for me was the preparation and planning! Reading books about my destinations to get an idea of the history of the place and what I’d be experiencing.

I packed everything in a small backpack and brought my Pentax ME Super camera with a zoom lens! Since I was still doing regular medicine at that time, half of my backpack was filled with medications. Plus I would get vaccinations before I went, like Yellow Fever before I traveled to Ethiopia, Africa; medications to prevent malaria in Thailand, S. Korea, the Philippines; immunoglobulin shots

to boost my immune system before I went to Japan, Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea.

BECAUSE my biggest fear was that I would get sick while I was traveling. …And I still got sick… Food poisoning in Africa and Papua New Guinea, foliculitis from a natural mineral water spa in New Zealand… I brought little parasite “friends” home with me that affected me for decades. Had I known then what I know now about how to boost immune system, use homeopathics and other supplements to prevent infections, I think things would’ve turned out differently.

Plus these natural products are less bulky (for packing) and more effective!

My gift to you is to help navigate some of these murky waters of travel that have become even more complicated since Covid. For instance, on my recent Alaskan Cruise I only took a few things:

  • Immune Charge+ Shots,
  • Immune Charge Throat Spray, and
  • Quinton Hypertonic sachets

These stopped a sore throat in its tracks and kept me healthy and hydrated during my weeklong cruise.

I always carry a few well-chosen homeopathic pellets in my purse at all times, just in case…

  • Arsenicum Album 30C (diarrhea, headaches);
  • Carbo Veg 30C (tummy gas, upset),
  • Nux Vomica 30C (nausea, headache from over indulgence) and
  • Arnica Montana 200C (aches, pains, bruising – from too much walking!)

If traveling overseas, I would add:

  • Influenza Plus SCV homeopathic drops (for covid and its variants, regular Flu A and Flu B)
  • Saccharomyces Boulardii, (a specific probiotic) to prevent food-borne infections
  • GSE drops (Grapefruit Seed Extract) by NutriBiotics to put in drinking water.

Contact my office for more information and where to purchase.

For my usual supplements (breakfast, lunch and dinner), I used tiny ziplock baggies (pill pouches ordered online) so they pack very easily and collapse when they are empty, so I have room in my luggage to bring back more souvenirs!

Attached is a little travel guide from Lisa Strbac, homeopath from England, with some other handy tips.

Have you noticed your body feeling a little different lately? Spring brings longer days, brighter light, and a natural shift in our body’s rhythms. Light entering the eyes signals the brain to adjust hormones like melatonin, cortisol, serotonin, and dopamine. These changes help move us from winter’s slower pace into spring’s renewed energy. But for many people, this seasonal transition doesn’t always feel smooth. You might notice: sleep changes after daylight savings mood fluctuations increased allergies digestive discomfort or bloating feeling wired but tired emotional sensitivity or stress Often this simply means your hormones and nervous system are recalibrating with the changing light. The Gut–Hormone Connection One of the biggest players in this seasonal shift is your gut . The gut is not just responsible for digestion. It plays a key role in: hormone regulation immune system balance detoxification neurotransmitter production In fact, about 90% of serotonin (the “feel good” neurotransmitter) is produced in the gut. If the gut is inflamed or out of balance, the body may struggle to adapt to seasonal changes. This can show up as: fatigue brain fog mood swings or anxiety food sensitivities worsening seasonal allergies Supporting gut health often helps stabilize the entire system , allowing hormones and the immune system to function more smoothly.
